Description
Circa 1800’s Exceptionally rare example of an animal spirt mask. Spirit masks were made to depict animals, however in this case an embodiment of nature. We speculate that they encountered something that looked similar because they would only create masks that represented things in the real world. The reason they would make a mask like this was in hope to please the spirit and bless the tribe with protection from this Hairy Man.
